Sexy Eyes

Sexy Eyes is a duck‑head whistle with a figure‑8 body, because if I’m going to make a duck, it might as well be a duck with some flair. It plays a handful of notes, looks like it has somewhere important to be, and is fully committed to its duck‑colored, slightly absurd charm.
Now, the eyes. I swear I wiped off the underglaze to reposition them. I was confident. I was wrong. When it came out of the kiln, it had these duplicate eyes staring at me like it knew something I didn’t. But honestly? It works. So I’m embracing it.
As the software engineers say: it’s a feature, not a bug.
The piece is named after the Dr. Hook song because once you see those double eyes, you can’t unsee them. They’re giving you a look. A very specific look. A “Sexy Eyes” look.
